Remember the ADT Layer Key Migration Utility? Tired of manually recreating layer keys when migrating among versions of ADT or ABS? If you don’t know what I’m talking about but you’re ready to migrate to the new version of ADT or ABS, then visit the link shown above and read the instructions on how to use the original routine. I’ve updated the code but the routine works the same way it did in the last two versions.
Those of you who have been waiting for a 2007 version, your wait is over. I’ve updated the utility and modified the settings so it now works on Architectural Desktop and Building Systems 2007. Click the filename to download the new version.LayerKeyCompare07.dvb
As work progresses on the latest community under development at AUGI.com, I thought I would take this opportunity to share my efforts in Mind Mapping. The following image is a sneak preview of the Map being generated to document the launch of this new community designed to support Autodesk Architectural Desktop and Autodesk Building Systems users. Like the Revit Community launched previously, this unique portal is designed to bring together users of these products. It will be a place to share ideas, routines, styles, examples, etc. Look for this community soon on AUGI.com, in the meantime you can download this map.
I put this map together in order to capture the layout and code behind the scenes being used to put this new community feature together. I love Mind Manager as a tool for this kind of documentation. If you’re not using Mind Manager you should be.
